Top Tips To Upgrade Your School On A Budget
Upgrading a school costs money and school furniture suppliers can help you with a whole lot of the upgrading or refurbishment, but there is a whole lot you can do on your own as well. The things you should get from the school furniture suppliers are the essential furnishings. These would include student school tables and school chairs, the teacher’s desks and their chairs, the computer room furniture, the library furniture, the boardroom furniture, the head teacher’s furniture, waiting room furniture and staff room furniture. This is a lot, but you can buy it room by room, so it does not cost you a fortune all at once. And then, there are a whole lot of lovely things you can do on your own to upgrade your school.
Five ways to upgrade your school
Let’s say you have all the school furniture you need, but things are still looking a little shabby. What can you do to upgrade everything and make it look better, quite quickly?
1. Ask parents if they have any furnishings they would like to donate to the school. Second-hand colourful rugs always look good and make a room look more inviting and you would be surprised how many people just toss out their rugs. Ask for donations.
2. Any sofas or armchairs lying around a parent’s home? Ask for them and add them to the library, or the staff room. How fab.
3. Get the kids to draw pictures and do paintings and put them on the wall. Frame them if you can.
4. Paint the outside furniture, the benches and the school playground equipment. Use nice bright colours and ask the parents to help you.
5. Spend a small amount of money on nice soft furnishings. Dustbins, in and out trays, pencil holders and such.
And of course, chat to the school furniture suppliers and see what they can offer you.
